Visiting Us

The theatre is located in the heart of Lincoln’s Cultural Quarter on Clasketgate. With easy access from the train station, bus station, City centre car parks and walking distance from the City’s many shops and restaurants.

From Lincoln Train Station (By foot)

The theatre is a ten-minute walk from the station. From the main station exit take a left until you reach the crossroads. Turn right and cross over the pedestrian crossing. This will take you onto the pedestrianised High Street (You will see Jack Wills on your left and HMV on your right). Keep walking up the High Street, under the Stonebow Arch and across the road. Continue up the hight street until you reach Clasketgate this is where you will cross over the road and head right. About 100 yards on the left you will reach The New Theatre Royal Lincoln.

By Car

Please note that Lincoln is currently undertaking major road works as a new Transport Hub is being built over the next two years. We advise that you plan your journey in advance, locating your nearest car park and allowing time in your journey for traffic and road changes. You can view information on the new transport hub and any road closures at www.lincoln.gov.uk.

By Bus

Please note due to the above roadworks and improvements to Lincoln’s transport system, there will be a new temporary bus and coach station that will be located on Tentercroft Street. Please visit Stage Coach Bus for up to date information on bus timetable changes and a map of the temporary station.

Theatre Bar

The theatre bar has been extended and refurbished to create a cosy, comfortable setting: a perfect place to meet friends for drinks at any time!

On show days, theatre patrons can purchase drinks before the show, during the interval and even after the performance. To avoid the queue, why not pre-order your interval drink? A member of our bar staff will be happy to take your order before the show.

Access

DISABLED CAR PARKING

City Council Car Parks: Blue badge holders are required to pay the standard rate in our car parks.

We accept that blue badge holders may need longer to complete certain tasks, so we offer the following parking concession:

Buy three hour get three hours free
Buy four hours get four hours free

To ensure that our car parks are accessible to all members of the public our new ticket machines offer the option to pay by credit or debit card, as well as by cash.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Wheelchair access is by the side of the theatre. Please inform a member of staff in advance of your visit to ensure you are properly looked after.

Wheelchair spaces are available in the Stalls with access from rear of the stalls. Refreshments can be ordered and brought to you during the interval at your request.
