My first show at the New Theatre Royal Lincoln and my first experience of the band Blake and their genre of classical music. Each member of the band contributed a unique voice which alone is outstanding and together a very versatile experience. A variety of songs included Hallelujah, Chasing Cars and All of Me. Blake presented Lincoln with a performance of variety and versatility with their famous classical style and the pop harmony they are popularly known for. The performance was seamless with each song being carried onto the next with charisma and laughter with the audience. Their support to some charities and causes such as Breast Cancer and the RAF during their 10 years of music took the audience on an emotional journey as stories were told and lyrics warmly sung. A very proud moment for some audience members was to see their children perform in a local state academy school choir supporting Blake on some songs and also singing alone. I left the theatre wanting to listen to their music some more and so I did for the journey home. I was very pleased to have experienced something new and to have enjoyed it so well. I am looking forward to seeing more shows at the theatre soon!
