The New Theatre Royal Lincoln is now more than ever relying on ticket purchasing and direct donations to help secure it’s future. Sadly, we don’t receive funding towards the overheads of the beautiful Victorian New Theatre Royal which costs over £2,500 per day to run.

We are still suffering the long-term effects of the pandemic and enforced 15-month closure. We only retain around 20% of each ticket price which is why sponsorships, memberships and direct donations are crucial to the future of the building.

If you are able to make a donation of any amount, then we would be incredibly thankful and it really does go a long way.

We were very relieved and extremely grateful to have been awarded a grant, administered by Arts Council England, last year. This money was utilised to make some accessibility improvements, including the addition of a user-friendly toilet with hoist, a new level platform lift and the expansion of wheelchair spaces in the auditorium.

Unfortunately, this funding has now expired and did not contribute to general cash flow meaning that the Theatre’s need for ticket revenue remains greater than ever before.

If you are able to make a donation of any amount, then we would be incredibly thankful and it really does go a long way towards our bid for survival. Thank you so much in advance and stay safe, the New Theatre Royal Family.
