Venue Information
Opening Times: The theatre doors open from 1 hour before the start of each performance for ticket holders only. Auditorium doors open approximately 20-30 minutes before the start of the performance but this will vary with each production.
Entrance: The main entrance to the theatre is located on Clasketgate, at the front of the building. We also have an accessible entrance on Kings Arms Yard to the side of the building.
Lift: Due to the nature of our Grade II Victorian building, we do not have a lift to other levels of the theatre. We do however have a small platform lift from the rear entrance of the stalls to the ground floor bar, for wheelchair users only.
Cloakroom: There is no cloakroom or storage facility so customers are asked to bring only what they need to the theatre. Bags must be able to fit under your seat without causing an obstruction, and please be aware that luggage, large backpacks, holdalls and laptops are not permitted.
Buggies: Whilst we understand that for families a pram or buggy is an essential mode of transport, we do not have the room to store them securely. With the agreement of the Duty Manager buggies may be given a designated location but are left at customers own risk. These items cannot be stored inside the auditorium for safety reasons.
Wheelchairs & Mobility Aids: Customers requiring the use of a wheelchair or other mobility aid can store items in designated locations as directed by staff, but please be aware these areas are not manned. Where possible, these items will be stored in the near vicinity of the customer in case of the need to leave. Speak to a member of staff when you arrive and they will be please to assist.
Booster Cushions: A very limited number of booster cushions are available for small children to have a better view (subject to availability on a first come first served basis). We ask you to provide your own booster cushions where possible.
Toilets: There are a number of toilets located throughout the building, including 2 accessible toilets. Toilets are for audience use only and are not open to the general public.
Auditorium: Our auditorium is set across 3 levels; Royal Stalls, Royal Circle and Royal Balcony. Please visit our Seating Plan page for seat dimensions and leg room measurements. We may be unable to move customers that are unable to be seated in those purchased and all tickets remain non-refundable.
